Philippians 3:19
"Their destiny is destruction, their god is their stomach, and their glory is in their shame. Their mind is on earthly things."

Colossians 3:2"Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things."

Colossians 3:5
"Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry."

the bible states it. we defy it. why then do we still dare call ourselves christians? seriously sometimes i feel unfit to call myself a christian. i always felt that i dont lead a good enough a life to be accepted in the grace and mercy of God such that he should send his Son down for us.

all earthly things, let us throw away, no greed, no evil desires, no idolatry. let us not worry about our future for today has its own worries as it is. studies, all in all, after we pass on we cant take the certificates up to heaven, we cant take our cash up, let alone credit cards. what we can and will take up, is our soul, and our heart.

let us then learn to fear the Lord, for Holy Fear is the key to God's sure foundation. the Fear of the Lord will keep us from compromising God's truth for the pursuit of personal gain.

teach us oh Lord; Your ways.
